About Waythor
A private technology holding group that builds and permanently holds software companies. We optimize for decades, not quarters.
Company overview
Waythor is a private technology holding group. We build software companies from the ground up, acquire complementary businesses when the opportunity is right, and hold them permanently. Unlike venture capital or private equity, we are not working toward an exit. Every company in our portfolio is intended to operate indefinitely under long-term ownership, with the resources and patience to compound value over time.
Mission
Our mission is to build and permanently hold software companies that solve meaningful problems and improve over time. We believe the best software is built by teams with stability, autonomy, and a long time horizon. We structure everything around that conviction: capital allocation, organizational design, and operating philosophy are all oriented toward decades of sustained, disciplined execution.
Structure
Waythor operates through three divisions, each serving a distinct function within the group.
Products Division
Our product companies build and operate commercial software. This division currently includes Scallin, an infrastructure automation platform for engineering teams, and Horigam, which provides workflow and asset management tools for creative operations.
Studio Division
Dexotal is our design and engineering studio. It works with select external partners and supports internal ventures with hands-on design, development, and technical strategy.
Research Division
The research division publishes applied work on software engineering, systems reliability, and organizational methodology. Its findings inform how we build and operate across the group.
Operating philosophy
We hold companies permanently. There are no exit timelines and no pressure to optimize for short-term returns. This creates an environment where teams can make decisions that pay off over years, not months.
Portfolio companies share infrastructure, knowledge, and operational standards at the group level. This gives each company access to capabilities that would be difficult to build independently, while preserving the autonomy that high-performing teams need. Each company runs with its own team, brand, and product roadmap.
We believe independence and shared resources are not in conflict. The group provides the foundation; the companies decide how to build on it.
Values
We value engineering discipline over speed. Code should be maintainable, well-documented, and secure by default. We favor measured execution: shipping consistently, reviewing rigorously, and building systems that hold up under real-world conditions.
